Experience the ultimate retreat at this serene getaway on Burntside Lake with a classic sauna and electric fireplace. Nestled just 65 feet from the lake's crystal-clear waters, this peaceful haven offers year-round tranquility, only 15 minutes from town. Recently renovated with a charming nautical theme, the home is perfect for relaxation. Enjoy the expansive sand beach and private dock during warmer months. In winter, the bay location provides an ideal setting for snowshoeing adventures.
Good to know
On a sandy shoreline, the property is uniquely flat, allowing for ease of access during all seasons. The elegant, yet comfortable home is approximately 1000 sq ft and includes 2 bedrooms, a dining table for 4, modern shower, and a large sectional couch. The east bedroom is larger and has a queen bed. The west bedroom is smaller and has two twin beds. The living room has a large sectional couch. We supply all your basic kitchen needs, linens, extra blankets/pillows, towels, and basic toilet items. You will fall in love with the landscaping, docks, beach and outdoor patio. There is a patio table, grill, and several Adirondack chairs outside for your enjoyment. The lake is clear and shallow even quite a distance out from the shore. We will leave you a list of local spots we like to visit on the lake, as well as a map to the snowmobile trail. This was a year round private residence, so it well maintained and comfortable.
Other Details to Note
We have satellite internet, it has the best signal available in the are. You should be able to do most any work. We have TV/cable and a DVD player. This is the best internet available for the remote location. Cell service is generally available, but can be spotty depending on provider. There are several coffee shops and a new coworking space in town, if needed. *** WINTER ROADS*** Ely can get significant snow in the winter. We will be out to snowplow each morning, however, the road is not conducive to small front wheel drive vehicles. You could struggle if there is a large snow storm. All wheel and/or 4 wheel vehicles have no issues. To rent boats or pontoons on Burntside: Lake View Lodge, they will deliver to public boat launch on the lake. Call in advance. While we have a fire pit, we do not provide firewood. DNR approved firewood can be purchased locally at many of the gas stations in town. The DNR prohibits transportation of firewood from outside of the Ely area in attempts to slow the spread of invasive species.
