Other Details to Note

Sandy Point landing is immediately adjacent to this property for complete ease of boat access. There is sufficient parking on site for trailers. We have high speed internet, smart TVs and strong cell reception. There are several coffee shops and a new co-working space in town, if needed. To rent boats or pontoons on Shagawa: Lake View Lodge, they will deliver to public boat launch on the lake. Call in advance. While we have a fire pit, we do not provide firewood. DNR approved firewood can be purchased locally at many of the gas stations in town. The DNR prohibits transportation of firewood from outside of the Ely area in attempts to slow the spread of invasive species.

The property was very roomy and set in a beautiful private peninsula. Kelly was great. I had a lot of questions and she was quick to respond with helpful answers and some good restaurant recommendations.

Sandy Point was the perfect home for our large family vacation. We had the entire home. There was plenty of firewood for evening campfires. The sauna was relaxing. Renting a pontoon boat locally on the lake was easy. We also loved using the paddle board and kayaks. I highly recommend this home in Ely.

This place exceeded our expectation. The pictures don't do justice and we were surprised with how roomy the entire house was. Would definitely come back! I recommend this place for all outdoor enthusiasts.

Fantastic location and beautiful house. The space was very comfortable for our extended family gathering. The location is very private and has wonderful views of the lake from every room. But it was just across the street from a paved trail (miles and miles of connecting trails), it is about 1 mile from town and we could walk to town on the trail. We had a canoe delivered to the house for the time we were there (shout out to Clif Wold for the canoe). Overall we were super happy with the place.

Our stay at Sandy Point was amazing! We were a group of 8 (plus an infant) who were looking for a place close to the lake, but also close to town. Sandy Point met this criteria and more. I cannot stress how great of a location this place is, especially for those who don't just want to lake but enjoy all of Ely's amenities and charm. We were told that we were the first to enjoy the property after it's latest renovations. The house is segmented into three sections, each with their own kitchens, living spaces, and bedrooms. For our stay, we had access to all three sections, so there was a ton of space and privacy even with 8 people moving around. However, we speculate that the owners will split each from one another and rent them out as separate units, so our experience may not translate into, say, next year. This is too bad, as we would love to rent it again, but we'll see. That said, the amenities were awesome: people kayaked, paddle boarded, and just simply enjoyed the lake so much

Great location on the peninsula. The layout was good for hanging out with a group. Enough room to put the kids to bed, then hang out in a separate area without waking them. Clean. Good vibes.
